Laurence Fogarty was born in the Republic of Ireland (Eire).

 

Education and professional background:

 

Studied at the University of Limerick, Ireland, where syllabus included politics, history, sociology, statistics, research methods, and French language. Post-graduate program in Computer-Based Training methods, also at the University of Limerick, Ireland.

 

Employment:

Many years in a variety of roles both with international pharmaceutical companies, including Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and IT companies. Managed the information technology (IT) department staff, hardware, software, and communications infrastructure to ensure optimum operation and support of business objectives for many European locations such as UK, Italy, France, Spain, Israel and the Russian Federation. Also responsible for disaster recovery procedures for these sites. This included implementing and maintaining the Global IT Disaster Recovery Plan which was subject to frequent audits from company clients. Translated both clinical and I.T. documentation in-house throughout time with company.

Is expert in several scientific disciplines and has extensive knowledge of the IT environment, and has accumulated experience in the medical research field.
